I have a lifelong passion for animals! Growing up, I was never without a dog or cat (including a few with special needs). I started out pet sitting for neighbors and friends years ago as a teenager, and I have since cared for a menagerie of animals - such as hamsters, birds, fish, tortoises, horses, goats, and donkeys.
I’m currently a cat mom to a very active, inquisitive, and mischievous 4-year-old tabby cat named Blu. He keeps me on my toes at home! I’m also a feline foster parent to a 1-year-old tuxedo cat through Kitten Rescue.
I have 8+ years of professional animal handling experience as well. This includes:
3 years working as an animal care technician/kennel assistant at the renowned Helen Woodward Animal Center
3 years as a cattery volunteer at Helen Woodward Animal Center
1 year as a professional pet sitter for dogs and cats through SD Pet Concierge
1 year as a dog walker, pet sitter, and employee trainer through an established LA pet care company
Current cat sitter through The Comforted Kitty and Meowtel
My responsibilities in these roles have involved cleaning dog kennels; socializing cats; feeding and facilitating turnout time for 40+ dogs in a boarding environment; providing complete in-home care (feeding, walking, and cleaning); administering oral and topical medications to both dogs and cats; walking 60+ dogs of all breeds and sizes in the greater Los Angeles area (solo and in small packs); and more. My professional experience has helped me to develop a strong, well-rounded understanding of dog and cat behavior, health, and safety.
Having worked for both large and small pet care operations, I have spent a good amount of time considering what I would do differently for my own business. Pets typically do best with routine and familiarity - which is why I personally care for all pets entrusted with Love Unleashed LA. This also helps to minimize miscommunications that sometimes occur when there are several sitters caring for your pet.
I strive to ensure that your pets are safe, comfortable, and loved like my own while you are busy or away. While working with animals is a lot of fun, I treat each visit as a serious responsibility, too. I have been known to speak up if I see an opportunity to take action or share my knowledge in order to improve your pet’s health, safety, or comfort. My compassionate dedication to each pet’s well-being and my unmatched attention to detail when it comes to routines - combined with the strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills necessary to ensure prompt, complete care - sets me apart from other sitters. I believe that honesty is always the best policy, and I’m not afraid to ask questions or reach out if I need clarification before or during a visit. Above all else, I want what’s best for your pets and I’m determined to make it happen!
